Nicondra: A couple of days to dry out

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - After a promised wet couple of days with as much as 5″ to 6″ of rain in some isolated areas southeast Louisiana. The last of the rain pushed through the region late Tuesday and Wednesday will be a much drier day. Some fog is possible for the early morning hours on Wednesday. A bit of a breeze may help keep low clouds more elevated, but commuters should keep up with the forecast in case extra time is needed. Temperatures will be in the upper 50s near 60 to start the day, by the afternoon with more sun look for highs in the upper 70s near 80. Thursday should be a mostly nice day as well. Friday the next upper low moves through the middle of the country pushing a front along slowly. Most energy will stay north of the area, but southeast Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf coast could see heavy rain through Friday evening. Some rain will linger Saturday morning with cooler and drier conditions to finish the weekend.
